What is Lycon wax?
Lycon Australia’s No 1 Wax Worldwide, enjoys a reputation as the crème de la crème of hair removal waxes. Formulated with the finest resins, pure beeswax, sensuous aromatherapy and natural plant oils. Lycon delivers superior results, removing stubborn hair as short as 1mm like no other wax!
Why wax, and not just shave?
Waxing because it actually lasts much longer than shaving, it pulls the hairs from the root, no stubble and your skin is so smooth! It is very important to avoid shaving between waxing appointments. Shaving will stimulate the hair growth again, with regular waxing your new hair will become finer and grow slower!
What’s the best way to prepare for my waxing appointment?
If it’s your first treatment and you have shaved the area you are having waxed, be sure you have 1/2 inch for course hair. That is about a week to 2 weeks of hair growth after shaving.
Exfoliate the skin in the area you are having waxed the day before your appointment. This allows for better grip and also reduces the possibility of ingrown hairs.
Wash the area well prior to waxing, but don’t apply moisturiser, especially if it is scented or perfumed. Turn up for your treatment clean, dry and free from products and fragrance.
Will waxing hurt?
The pain associated with waxing differs from person to person. One person may have several nerve endings in one area, while another may not. If you have a sensitive skin, remember that any pain is very minor and very temporary.
How long will the results last?
Waxing lasts from 4 to 8 weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle.
What is the after care for waxing?
Avoid any fragranced soaps and perfumed moisturisers for 24hrs
Try to avoid sweating or over perspiring for 24hours
Exfoliate once to twice a week to prevent build up of dead cells
Keep the area well moisturised to avoid dry, scaly skin inhibiting hairs from pushing through the surface
